Turning tragedy into triumph does not happen overnight. Healing takes time and is made up of so many small steps that are barely noticable at times. Yet, when one looks back it becomes overwhelmingly clear how far they have truly come. The creation of JJs Giant Heart has changed the lives of my son, my family, an now so many more. I simply can't wait to see what more positive changes it has in store!

JJs Giant Heart is a group of people working together towards helping others through the unexpected situations life brings. Our goal is to come alongside the patient and their loved ones during a time when they may not know what to expect next. This organization came after a tragic accident to one of its members. We took a very challenging situation and found hope and encouragement in helping others through similar tragedies.

TRAUMA doesn't happen to one child in the family; it happens, in part, to everyone in the family. No parent can prepare for all of the emotions, needs, and disruptions to life that lay ahead. Through the turmoil this family encountered with Jayden's trauma, helping Jayden to help others just seems like the right thing to do. Helping others is now a part or who Jayden is. We are lucky to have a little boy with such a big drive, a big heart and a mom and family right behind him for support.

Through the heart of a child going through trauma, JJs Giant Heart was born. Through Jayden, I have seen the fear, pain and strength of a child facing trauma and the effects on the family. Along with JJ, I am dedicated to helping these children and their families that are having to face traumas. Our goal is to provide support, comfort and resources during a truama, all inspired by the kindness of one gaint heart (JJ's) and the people who supported him.

Wanting to help others due to being in their shoes, an 8 year-old boy was willing to give himself to a cause. Because of this, others were inspired to give themselves, including their time, energey, and possessions to give the same comfort and love to those in need. Families, friends, and those who were strangers were coming together to make a difference in children's lives. JJs Giant Heart is the vehicle to provide relief, enjoyment, and hope in a time of despair in the eyes of a little one. I am proud and honored to be part of an organization where others wish to better their community.

To me JJ's Giant Heart is a life saving thing for tons of hurt and injured children. Knowing that someone is thinking and bringing things for you makes people feel like they're loved by others. It's crazy to me how big Jayden's Heart is!
